Admission Requirements at University of Phoenix
In order to qualify for the Bachelor's degree programs, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent. University of Phoenix will also accept some professional experience and/or military training as academic credit.
Requirements for University of Phoenix Nursing program include:
- Valid RN license for RN to BSN candidates
- 1 year full-time work experience in the health care field
- A minimum GPA of 2.0
- Liability insurance of $1,000,000/occurrence
Admission Requirements for a University of Phoenix Master's Degree Online
In order to be accepted by University of Phoenix's Master's degree programs, you must be currently employed or have access to some organizational environment that allows you to apply concepts you learn in University of Phoenix courses. Of course, you are also required to have an undergraduate degree from any regionally accredited college or university (or any institution that is a candidate for accreditation or a recognized institution from outside of the United States). You must also have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 and at least three years of related work experience. Admission Requirements for a University of Phoenix Doctoral Degree Online
University of Phoenix also offers online doctoral programs. To apply for these, you need to be employed and have at least three years of full-time related professional work experience, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role. You need a master's degree from an accredited college or university, with a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or better. There is also a residency requirement for the PhD program: eight days in year one, three days in year two, plus eight days in year three.
