ESL Students: Learn English as a Second Language
Today there are more options than ever when it comes to learning English.
If you are interested in learning English or upgrading your understanding of the world’s most widely spoken language, then you are part of an ongoing trend. English is the international language of commerce, and of course, English language movies, music, television and other forms of entertainment are the most popular over the world.
Whether you like it or not, a strong knowledge of the English language will increase your job prospects and prospects for the future of your family. If you are planning on moving to North America or Europe, or if you plan on a career in which you will have to deal with English, taking ESL will be absolutely necessary.
In spite of its dominance, English is not really an easy language to learn. There are many rules in English that are not followed closely. English borrows heavily from a variety of number of other languages, including French, Greek and Latin, to name just a few.
You can learn English for free, using any of several different methods, including watching a lot of television (as some have done) to learning from free websites. The best, most failsafe way to learn English, though, is to undertake formal training, taught by an instructor or at least with formal testing.
Finding a Good English as a Second Language School
To find good instruction in English, it is best to do a lot of research on the school or teacher of your choice. Do they follow international standard practices? Are they part of international standards organizations? Are their teachers all certified with a TESOL certificate? Learn more about English as a Second Language (ESL) Schools.
TOEFL
The Test of English as a Foreign Language is an internationally standard test administered in countries around the world. It is accepted in many parts of the globe as qualification for formal university or college training. You can learn more about the TOEFL.
